As climate change accelerates, Indigenous peoples face severe threats to their lands, livelihoods, and cultural heritage, which are deeply connected to nature. However, their traditional knowledge and sustainable practices offer vital solutions for environmental conservation and climate resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New York Climate Week presents a critical platform for IPAS to engage with global leaders, policymakers, and civil society to advocate for the inclusion of Indigenous perspectives in climate action. The week provides a unique opportunity to build alliances, foster collaboration, and raise awareness of the urgent need for global solidarity in addressing the climate crisis with Indigenous peoples at the core of the solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to participating in New York Climate Week to advocate for Indigenous peoples&#8217; rights in facing the climate crisis, IPAS is also celebrating its launch alongside Indigenous Peoples Asia. This moment is expected to open new opportunities for IPAS to build connections with various stakeholders attending the event, including world leaders, civil society organizations, and other key players.
